11 Moreover, my father, see, yea, see the skirt of thy robe in my hand; for in that I cut off the skirt of thy robe, and killed thee not, know thou and see that there is neither evil nor transgression in my hand, and I have not sinned against thee, though thou [a]huntest after my life to take it. 12 Jehovah judge between me and thee, and Jehovah avenge me of thee; but my hand shall not be upon thee. 13 As saith the proverb of the ancients, Out of the wicked cometh forth wickedness; but my hand shall not be upon thee.

11 See, my father, look at this piece of your robe in my hand! I cut(A) off the corner of your robe but did not kill you. See that there is nothing in my hand to indicate that I am guilty(B) of wrongdoing(C) or rebellion. I have not wronged(D) you, but you are hunting(E) me down to take my life.(F) 12 May the Lord judge(G) between you and me. And may the Lord avenge(H) the wrongs you have done to me, but my hand will not touch you. 13 As the old saying goes, ‘From evildoers come evil deeds,(I)’ so my hand will not touch you.
