But David’s men said to him, “Behold, we are afraid here in Judah; how much more then if we go to Ke-i′lah against the armies of the Philistines?” Then David inquired of the Lord again. And the Lord answered him, “Arise, go down to Ke-i′lah; for I will give the Philistines into your hand.” And David and his men went to Ke-i′lah, and fought with the Philistines, and brought away their cattle, and made a great slaughter among them. So David delivered the inhabitants of Ke-i′lah.

But David’s men said to him, “Here in Judah we are afraid. How much more, then, if we go to Keilah against the Philistine forces!”

Once again David inquired(A) of the Lord, and the Lord answered him, “Go down to Keilah, for I am going to give the Philistines(B) into your hand.(C) So David and his men went to Keilah, fought the Philistines and carried off their livestock. He inflicted heavy losses on the Philistines and saved the people of Keilah.
