³⁰ Therefore Yahweh, the God of Israel, declares, ‘^(A)I did indeed say that your house and the house of your father should walk before Me forever’; but now Yahweh declares, ‘Far be it from Me—for ^(B)those who honor Me I will honor, and those ^(C)who despise Me will be cursed.

¹³ And Samuel said to Saul, “^(A)You have acted foolishly; ^(B)you have not kept the commandment of Yahweh your God, which He commanded you, for now Yahweh would have established your kingdom ^[a]over Israel ^(C)forever.
