^28 (A)And did I not choose them from all the tribes of Israel to be My priests, to go up to My altar, to burn incense, to carry an ephod before Me; and did I not ^(B)give to the house of your father all the fire offerings of the sons of Israel?

¹⁸ Then the king said to Doeg, “You turn around and ^[a]attack the priests.” And Doeg the Edomite turned around and ^[b]attacked the priests, and ^(A)he put to death that day eighty-five men ^(B)who wore the linen ephod.

¹⁴ And ^(A)David was dancing before Yahweh with all his strength, and David was ^(B)girded with a linen ephod.

²⁷ Now David was clothed with a robe of fine linen with all the Levites who were carrying the ark, as well as the singers and Chenaniah the leader of the singing with the singers. ^(A)David also wore a linen ephod.
