²⁰ Then ^(A)Saul sent messengers to take David, but they saw ^(B)the company of the prophets prophesying, with Samuel standing and presiding over them. And the Spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul; and ^(C)they also prophesied.

³ Then ^(A)the sons of the prophets who were at Bethel came out to Elisha and said to him, “Do you know that Yahweh will take away your master from over ^[a]you today?” And he said, “Yes, I know; be silent.”

^5 (A)Then the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho approached Elisha and said to him, “^(B)Do you know that Yahweh will take away your master from over ^[a]you today?” And he ^[b]answered, “Yes, I know; be silent.”

Elisha Has the Spirit of Elijah

¹⁵ Then ^(A)the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho opposite him saw him and said, “The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” And they came to meet him and bowed themselves to the ground before him.
