^(B)“Saul has struck down his thousands,
and David his ten thousands.”

New International Version

⁷As they danced, they sang:^(A)

“Saul has slain his thousands,
and David his tens^(B) of thousands.”

¹¹And the servants of Achish said to him, “Is not this David the king of the land? ^(A)Did they not sing to one another of him in dances,

‘Saul has struck down his thousands,
and David his ten thousands’?”

¹¹But the servants of Achish said to him, “Isn’t this David, the king of the land? Isn’t he the one they sing about in their dances:

“‘Saul has slain his thousands,
and David his tens of thousands’?”^(A)
