44 “Come on,” the Philistine told David, “and I’ll give your body to the birds.”
45 David told the Philistine, “You come to me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Yahweh Tsebaoth, the Elohim of the army of Israel, whom you have insulted. 46 Today Yahweh will hand you over to me. I will strike you down and cut off your head. And this day I will give the dead bodies of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals. The whole world will know that Israel has an Elohim.

44 “Come here,” he said, “and I’ll give your flesh to the birds(A) and the wild animals!(B)”
45 David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin,(C) but I come against you in the name(D) of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.(E) 46 This day the Lord will deliver(F) you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses(G) of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world(H) will know that there is a God in Israel.(I)
