44 And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the heaven, and to the beasts of the field.
45 ¶ Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield, but I come to thee in the Name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the host of Israel, whom thou hast railed upon.
46 This [a]day shall the Lord close thee in mine hand, and I shall smite thee, and take thine head from thee, and I will give the carcasses of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the heaven, and to the beasts of the earth, that all the world may know that Israel hath a God,

44 “Come here,” he said, “and I’ll give your flesh to the birds(A) and the wild animals!(B)”
45 David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin,(C) but I come against you in the name(D) of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.(E) 46 This day the Lord will deliver(F) you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses(G) of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world(H) will know that there is a God in Israel.(I)
