¹³ Then Samuel took the horn of oil and ^(A)anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and ^(B)the Spirit of Yahweh ^[a]came mightily upon David from that day forward. And Samuel arose and went to Ramah.

⁹ But David said to Abishai, “Do not destroy him, for ^(A)who can send forth his hand against the anointed of Yahweh and be without guilt?”

¹⁴ Then David said to him, “How is it you were not afraid ^(A)to send forth your hand to destroy the anointed of Yahweh?”
