21 And Elcana her husband went up, and all his house, to offer to the Lord the solemn sacrifice, and his vow.
22 But Anna went not up: for she said to her husband: I will not go till the child be weaned, and till I may carry him, that he may appear before the Lord, and may abide always there.
23 And Elcana her husband said to her: Do what seemeth good to thee, and stay till thou wean him: and I pray that the Lord may fulfill his word. So the woman stayed at home, and gave her son suck, till she weaned him.

Hannah Dedicates Samuel
21 When her husband Elkanah went up with all his family to offer the annual(A) sacrifice to the Lord and to fulfill his vow,(B) 22 Hannah did not go. She said to her husband, “After the boy is weaned, I will take him and present(C) him before the Lord, and he will live there always.”[a]
23 “Do what seems best to you,” her husband Elkanah told her. “Stay here until you have weaned him; only may the Lord make good(D) his[b] word.” So the woman stayed at home and nursed her son until she had weaned(E) him.
