¹⁷ Then Eli answered and said, “^(A)Go in peace; and may the God of Israel ^(B)grant your petition that you have asked of Him.”

²⁰ They were helped against them, and the Hagrites and all who were with them were given into their hand; for ^(A)they cried out to God in the battle, and He answered their prayers because ^(B)they trusted in Him.

¹³ When he prayed to Him, ^(A)He was moved by his entreaty and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem to his kingdom. Then Manasseh ^(B)knew that the Lord was God.

²³ So we fasted and sought our God concerning this matter, and He ^[a](A)listened to our entreaty.
