⁴ Then the Lord called Samuel, and he said, “Here I am!”

⁶ and there are varieties of activities, but it is ^(A)the same God who empowers them all in everyone. ^7 (B)To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. ⁸ For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of ^(C)wisdom, and to another the utterance of ^(D)knowledge according to the same Spirit, ⁹ to another ^(E)faith by the same Spirit, to another ^(F)gifts of healing by the one Spirit, ¹⁰ to another ^(G)the working of miracles, to another ^(H)prophecy, to another ^(I)the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another ^(J)various kinds of tongues, to another ^(K)the interpretation of tongues. ¹¹ All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, ^(L)who apportions to each one individually ^(M)as he wills.

Isaiah's Commission from the Lord

⁸ And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for ^(A)us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.”

⁴ When the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, ^(A)God called to him ^(B)out of the bush, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.”
