³⁴Then Samuel went home to Ramah, and Saul returned to his house at Gibeah of Saul.

1 Samuel 15:34

New International Version

³⁴Then Samuel left for Ramah,^(A) but Saul went up to his home in Gibeah^(B) of Saul.

⁴When the messengers came to Gibeah of Saul and told the people about their plight, everyone broke into tears.

⁴When the messengers came to Gibeah^(A) of Saul and reported these terms to the people, they all wept^(B) aloud.

¹⁷Then he would return to his home at Ramah, and he would hear cases there, too. And Samuel built an altar to the Lord at Ramah.

¹⁷But he always went back to Ramah,^(A) where his home was, and there he also held court^(B) for Israel. And he built an altar^(C) there to the Lord.
