6 just as Sarah(A) obeyed Abraham, calling him lord. You have become her children when you do what is good and are not frightened by anything alarming.(B)
7 Husbands,(C) in the same way, live with your wives with an understanding of their weaker nature[a](D) yet showing them honor as coheirs of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered.

8 Now finally, all of you should be like-minded and sympathetic, should love believers,[b](E) and be compassionate(F) and humble,[c]

7 Husbands,(B) in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.
