²²“He committed no sin,
nor was any deceit found on his lips.”^[a]

²³When he was insulted, he didn’t retaliate with insults; when he suffered, he didn’t threaten, but handed them over to him who judges justly. ²⁴He himself bore our sins^[b] in his body on the stake,^[c] so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness — by his wounds you were healed.^[d]

and no deceit was found in his mouth.”^[a]^(B)

²³When they hurled their insults at him,^(C) he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats.^(D) Instead, he entrusted himself^(E) to him who judges justly.^(F) ²⁴“He himself bore our sins”^(G) in his body on the cross,^(H) so that we might die to sins^(I) and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”^(J)
