1 Peter 2:19-23
New American Standard Bible
19 For this finds favor, if for the sake of (A)conscience toward God a person endures [a]grief when suffering unjustly. 20 For what credit is there if, when you sin and are harshly treated, you endure it with patience? But if (B)when you do what is right and suffer for it you patiently endure it, this finds favor with God.
Christ Is Our Example
21 For (C)you have been called for this purpose, (D)because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you (E)an example, so that you would follow in His steps, 22 He who (F)committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth; 23 [b]and while being (G)abusively insulted, He did not insult in return; while suffering, He did not threaten, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously;

Amplified Bible
19 For this finds favor, if a person endures the sorrow of suffering unjustly because of an [a]awareness of [the will of] God. 20 After all, what kind of credit is there if, when you do wrong and are punished for it, you endure it patiently? But if when you do what is right and patiently bear [undeserved] suffering, this finds favor with God.
Christ Is Our Example
21 For [as a believer] you have been called for this purpose, since Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you may follow in His footsteps. 22 He committed no sin, nor was deceit ever found in His mouth.(A) 23 While being reviled and insulted, He did not revile or insult in return; while suffering, He made no threats [of vengeance], but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges fairly.

New International Version
19 For it is commendable if someone bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because they are conscious of God.(A) 20 But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God.(B) 21 To this(C) you were called,(D) because Christ suffered for you,(E) leaving you an example,(F) that you should follow in his steps.
23 When they hurled their insults at him,(I) he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats.(J) Instead, he entrusted himself(K) to him who judges justly.(L)
