⁴¹ When the traders of the region heard what was said to them, they took silver and gold in immense amounts and fetters^[a] and went to the camp to get the Israelites for slaves. And forces from Syria and the land of the Philistines^[b] joined with them.^(A)

¹⁵ and all those in the rear fell by the sword. They pursued them to Gazara and to the plains of Idumea and to Azotus and Jamnia, and three thousand of them fell.^(A)
