^7 (A)then I will cut off Israel from the land which I have given them, and ^(B)the house which I have consecrated for My name, I will ^[a]cast out of My sight. So ^(C)Israel will become a proverb and a byword among all peoples. ⁸ And this house will become ^[b](D)a heap of ruins; everyone who passes by will be astonished and hiss and say, ‘^(E)Why has the Lord done thus to this land and to this house?’

^18 (A)Jerusalem and the cities of Judah and its kings and its princes, to make them a ruin, a horror, a hissing and a curse, as it is this day;
