⁵⁰ and forgive Your people who have sinned against You and all their transgressions which they have transgressed against You, and ^(A)give them over as objects of compassion before those who have taken them captive, that they may have compassion on them

⁹ For ^(A)when you return to Yahweh, your brothers and your sons will find compassion before those who led them captive and will return to this land. ^(B)For Yahweh your God is gracious and compassionate, and will not turn His face away from you if you return to Him.”

^9 (A)For we are slaves; yet in our slavery our God has not forsaken us, but ^(B)has extended lovingkindness to us before the kings of Persia, to give us reviving to raise up the house of our God, to restore its waste places, and to give us a wall in Judah and Jerusalem.

¹¹ O Lord, I beseech You, ^(A)may Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your slave and the prayer of Your slaves who delight to fear Your name, and make Your slave successful today and grant him compassion before this man.”

Now I was the ^(B)cupbearer to the king.

¹² I will also show you compassion, so that ^(A)he will have compassion on you and return you to your own soil.
