^47 (A)and if they cause these things to return to their heart in the land where they have been taken captive, and ^[a]return and make supplication to You in the land of those who have taken them captive, saying, ‘^(B)We have sinned and have committed iniquity, we have acted wickedly’; ^48 (C)and if they return to You with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their enemies who have taken them captive, and ^(D)pray to You toward their land which You have given to their fathers, the city which You have chosen, and the house which I have built for Your name;

⁹ Then those of you who escape will ^(A)remember Me among the nations to which they will be carried captive, how I have ^(B)been broken over their adulterous hearts which turned away from Me, and by their eyes which played the harlot after their idols; and they will ^(C)loathe themselves to their own faces for the evils which they have done, for all their abominations.
