27 “But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Even heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you, much less this house that I have built!(A) 28 Regard your servant’s prayer and his plea, O Lord my God, heeding the cry and the prayer that your servant prays to you today, 29 that your eyes may be open night and day toward this house, the place of which you said, ‘My name shall be there,’ that you may heed the prayer that your servant prays toward this place.(B)

27 “But will God really dwell(A) on earth? The heavens, even the highest heaven,(B) cannot contain(C) you. How much less this temple I have built! 28 Yet give attention to your servant’s prayer and his plea for mercy, Lord my God. Hear the cry and the prayer that your servant is praying in your presence this day. 29 May your eyes be open(D) toward(E) this temple night and day, this place of which you said, ‘My Name(F) shall be there,’ so that you will hear the prayer your servant prays toward this place.
