14 Then the king [a]turned around and (A)blessed all the assembly of Israel, while all the assembly of Israel was standing. 15 He said, “(B)Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, (C)who spoke with His mouth to my father David, and fulfilled it with His hands, saying, 16 ‘(D)Since the day that I brought My people Israel from Egypt, I did not choose a city out of all the tribes of Israel in which to build a house so that (E)My name would be there, but (F)I chose David to be over My people Israel.’

14 While the whole assembly of Israel was standing there, the king turned around and blessed(A) them. 15 Then he said:
“Praise be to the Lord,(B) the God of Israel, who with his own hand has fulfilled what he promised with his own mouth to my father David. For he said, 16 ‘Since the day I brought my people Israel out of Egypt,(C) I have not chosen a city in any tribe of Israel to have a temple built so that my Name(D) might be there, but I have chosen(E) David(F) to rule my people Israel.’
