⁸ Solomon’s own palace where he would live, in the other courtyard behind the hall, was of similar construction. And he made a house like this hall for Pharaoh’s daughter, his wife.^[a](A)

¹¹ Solomon brought the daughter of Pharaoh from the city of David to the house he had built for her,^(A) for he said, “My wife must not live in the house^[a] of David king of Israel because the places the ark of the Lord has come into are holy.”
