³⁰ Solomon’s wisdom surpassed the wisdom of all ^(A)the sons of the east and ^(B)all the wisdom of Egypt. ³¹ For ^(C)he was wiser than all men, than ^(D)Ethan the Ezrahite, Heman, ^(E)Calcol and ^[a]Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his ^[b]fame was known in all the surrounding nations.

¹⁷ As for these four youths, ^(A)God gave them knowledge and intelligence in every branch of ^[a]literature and wisdom; Daniel even understood all kinds of ^(B)visions and dreams.
