⁹ So ^(A)give Your servant ^[a]an understanding heart to judge Your people, ^(B)to discern between good and evil. For who is capable of judging this ^[b]great people of Yours?”

God’s Answer

¹⁰ Now ^[c]it was pleasing in the sight of the Lord that Solomon had asked this thing.

²⁹ Now ^(A)God gave Solomon wisdom and very great discernment and breadth of ^[a]mind, ^(B)like the sand that is on the seashore.

⁵ But if any of you ^(A)lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and ^[a]without reproach, and ^(B)it will be given to him.
