20 Ahab said to Elijah, “(A)Have you found me, O my enemy?” And he [a]answered, “I have found you, (B)because you have sold yourself to do evil in the sight of the Lord. 21 Behold, I will bring evil upon you, and (C)will utterly sweep you away, and will cut off from Ahab every male, both bond and free in Israel; 22 and (D)I will make your house (E)like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, because of the provocation with which you have provoked Me to anger, and because you (F)have made Israel sin.

“I have found you,” he answered, “because you have sold(B) yourself to do evil in the eyes of the Lord. 21 He says, ‘I am going to bring disaster on you. I will wipe out your descendants and cut off from Ahab every last male(C) in Israel—slave or free.[a](D) 22 I will make your house(E) like that of Jeroboam son of Nebat and that of Baasha son of Ahijah, because you have aroused my anger and have caused Israel to sin.’(F)
