²⁰ And Ahab said to Elijah, “^(A)Have you found me, O my enemy?” And he ^[a]answered, “I have found you, ^(B)because you have sold yourself to do what is evil in the sight of Yahweh.

Ahab Humbles Himself

^25 (A)Surely there was no one who sold himself to do what is evil in the sight of Yahweh like Ahab, whom Jezebel his wife incited.

¹⁷ Then ^(A)they made their sons and their daughters pass through the fire, and ^(B)practiced divination and omens, and ^(C)sold themselves to do what is evil in the sight of Yahweh, provoking Him to anger.

⁶ knowing this, that our ^(A)old man was ^(B)crucified with Him, in order that our ^(C)body of sin might be ^[a]done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin;

³ So also we, while we were children, were ^(A)enslaved under the ^[a](B)elemental things of the world.
