³ And you shall keep the responsibility given by Yahweh your God, to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, His commandments, His judgments, and His testimonies, ^(A)according to what is written in the Law of Moses, that ^(B)you may be prosperous in all that you do and wherever you turn,

⁴ As for you, ^(A)if you will walk before Me as your father David walked, in integrity of heart and uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you and will keep My statutes and My judgments,

⁴ Now it happened at the time that Solomon was old, his wives turned his heart away after other gods; and ^(A)his heart was not ^[a]wholly devoted to Yahweh his God, as the heart of David his father had been.

⁶ And Solomon did what was evil in the sight of Yahweh, and did not follow Yahweh fully, as David his father had done.

³⁸ Then it will be, that if you listen to all that I command you and walk in My ways, and do what is right in My sight to keep My statutes and My commandments, as My servant David did, then ^(A)I will be with you and ^(B)build you an enduring house as I built for David, and I will give Israel to you.
