Adonijah Schemes Against Solomon
12 Solomon was seated on the throne of his father David, and his kingship was firmly established.
13 Adonijah son of Haggith came to Solomon’s mother Bathsheba. She said to him, “Do you come in peace?”
“Yes, in peace,” he answered. 14 Then he said, “May I have a word with you?”
She said, “Yes. Speak up.”

Solomon’s Throne Established
13 Now Adonijah,(C) the son of Haggith, went to Bathsheba, Solomon’s mother. Bathsheba asked him, “Do you come peacefully?”(D)
He answered, “Yes, peacefully.” 14 Then he added, “I have something to say to you.”
“You may say it,” she replied.
