1 Kings 19:4-5

New King James Version

⁴But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a ^[a]broom tree. And he ^(A)prayed that he might die, and said, “It is enough! Now, Lord, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!”

⁵Then as he lay and slept under a broom tree, suddenly an ^[b]angel touched him, and said to him, “Arise and eat.”

⁴while he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness. He came to a broom bush,^(A) sat down under it and prayed that he might die. “I have had enough, Lord,” he said. “Take my life;^(B) I am no better than my ancestors.” ⁵Then he lay down under the bush and fell asleep.^(C)

All at once an angel^(D) touched him and said, “Get up and eat.”
