And ^(B)in war from the power of the sword.

¹⁸ Behold, ^(A)the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him,
On those who ^[a](B)hope for His lovingkindness,
¹⁹ To ^(C)deliver their soul from death
And to keep them alive ^(D)in famine.

¹⁶ He will dwell on the heights,
^(A)His refuge will be the ^[a]impregnable rock;
^(B)His bread will be given him,
His water will be sure.
