Gehazi’s Leprosy

¹⁵ Then he returned to the man of God ^[a]with all his camp, and came and stood before him, and said, “Behold now, ^(A)I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel; so now please ^(B)take a blessing from your servant.”

⁸ And the king said to ^(A)Hazael, “^(B)Take a present in your hand and go to meet the man of God, and ^(C)inquire of Yahweh by him, saying, ‘Will I be restored to life from this sickness?’” ⁹ So Hazael went to meet him and took a present in his hand, even every kind of good thing of Damascus, forty camels’ loads; and he came and stood before him and said, “^(D)Your son Ben-hadad king of Aram has sent me to you, saying, ‘Will I be restored to life from this sickness?’”

^19 (A)For handfuls of barley and fragments of bread, you have profaned Me to My people to put to death souls who should not die and to ^(B)keep other souls alive who should not live, by your lying to My people who listen to lies.”’”
