22 And the people of (A)Judah did evil in the sight of the Lord, and they (B)provoked Him to jealousy with their sins which they [a]committed, more than all that their fathers had done. 23 For they, too, built for themselves (C)high places, (D)memorial stones, and [b](E)Asherim on every high hill and (F)under every luxuriant tree. 24 There were also (G)male cult prostitutes in the land. They committed [c]all the same abominations of the nations which the Lord dispossessed before the sons of Israel.

22 Judah(A) did evil in the eyes of the Lord. By the sins they committed they stirred up his jealous anger(B) more than those who were before them had done. 23 They also set up for themselves high places, sacred stones(C) and Asherah poles(D) on every high hill and under every spreading tree.(E) 24 There were even male shrine prostitutes(F) in the land; the people engaged in all the detestable(G) practices of the nations the Lord had driven out before the Israelites.
