²⁸ So the king took counsel, and ^(A)made two golden ^(B)calves, and he said to them, “It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem; ^(C)behold your gods, O Israel, that brought you up from the land of Egypt.”

¹⁶ And He will give Israel over ^(A)on account of the sins of Jeroboam, which he sinned and with which he made Israel to sin.”

²⁶ And he did what was evil in the sight of Yahweh, and ^(A)walked in the way of his father and ^(B)in his sin which he made Israel sin.
