Adonijah conferred with Joab(B) son of Zeruiah and with Abiathar(C) the priest, and they gave him their support. But Zadok(D) the priest, Benaiah(E) son of Jehoiada, Nathan(F) the prophet, Shimei(G) and Rei and David’s special guard(H) did not join Adonijah.
