33 he said to them, “Take Solomon and my officers to Gihon. Solomon is to ride on my personal mule, 34 and Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet are to anoint him there as king of Israel. Then blow the trumpets and shout, ‘Long live King Solomon!’ 35 When you bring him back here, place him upon my throne as the new king; for I have appointed him king of Israel and Judah.”

New International Version
33 he said to them: “Take your lord’s servants with you and have Solomon my son mount my own mule(A) and take him down to Gihon.(B) 34 There have Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint(C) him king over Israel. Blow the trumpet(D) and shout, ‘Long live King Solomon!’ 35 Then you are to go up with him, and he is to come and sit on my throne and reign in my place. I have appointed him ruler over Israel and Judah.”
