²⁴ You have kept your promise to your servant David my father; with your mouth you have promised and with your hand you have fulfilled it—as it is today.

¹⁶ Your house and your kingdom will endure forever before me^[a]; your throne^(A) will be established^(B) forever.^(C)’”

“Praise be to the Lord,^(A) the God of Israel, who with his own hand has fulfilled what he promised with his own mouth to my father David. For he said,

¹² When your days are over and you rest^(A) with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, your own flesh and blood,^(B) and I will establish his kingdom.^(C)
