⁹If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins^(A) and purify us from all unrighteousness.^(B)

⁹If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

⁹Nevertheless, the righteous^(A) will hold to their ways,
and those with clean hands^(B) will grow stronger.^(C)

⁹The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.

¹⁰Create in me a pure heart,^(A) O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.^(B)
