1 John 1:10-2:6
New International Version
10 If we claim we have not sinned,(A) we make him out to be a liar(B) and his word is not in us.(C)
2 My dear children,(D) I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate(E) with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins,(F) and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.(G)
Love and Hatred for Fellow Believers
3 We know(H) that we have come to know him(I) if we keep his commands.(J) 4 Whoever says, “I know him,”(K) but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person.(L) 5 But if anyone obeys his word,(M) love for God[a] is truly made complete in them.(N) This is how we know(O) we are in him: 6 Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.(P)

1 John 1:10-2:6
King James Version
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
2 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
