25 Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. 26 Well, I do not run aimlessly, I do not box as one beating the air; 27 but I pommel my body and subdue it, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.

Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for (A)an imperishable crown. 26 Therefore I run thus: (B)not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. 27 (C)But I discipline my body and (D)bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become (E)disqualified.
