¹² If others share this authority over you, do we not more? Nevertheless, we ^(A)did not use this authority, but we endure all things ^(B)so that we will cause no hindrance to the ^(C)gospel of Christ.

¹⁸ What then is my ^(A)reward? That, when I proclaim the gospel, I may offer the gospel ^(B)without charge, so as ^(C)not to make full use of my authority in the gospel.

⁹ And when I was present with you and was in need, I was ^(A)not a burden to anyone; for when ^(B)the brothers came from ^(C)Macedonia they fully supplied my need, and in everything I kept and will keep myself from ^(D)being a burden to you.

¹⁴ Here ^(A)for this third time I am ready to come to you, and I ^(B)will not be a burden to you; for I ^(C)do not seek what is yours, but ^(D)you. For ^(E)children ought not to save up for their parents, but ^(F)parents for their children.
