A servant must be faithful to his owner. This is expected of him. It is not the most important thing to me what you or any other people think of me. Even what I think of myself does not mean much. As for me, my heart tells me I am not guilty of anything. But that does not prove I am free from guilt. It is the Lord Who looks into my life and says what is wrong.

Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself. My conscience(A) is clear, but that does not make me innocent.(B) It is the Lord who judges me.(C)
