¹⁸ Now some have become ^(A)puffed up, as though I were not ^(B)coming to you. ¹⁹ But I ^(C)will come to you soon, ^(D)if the Lord wills, and I shall know, not the ^[a]words of those who are ^(E)puffed up but their power. ²⁰ For the kingdom of God does ^(F)not consist in ^[b]words but in power. ²¹ What do you desire? ^(G)Shall I come to you with a rod, or with love and a spirit of gentleness?

8 Now concerning ^(A)things sacrificed to idols, we know that we all have ^(B)knowledge. Knowledge ^(C)puffs up, but love ^(D)builds up.

⁴ Love ^(A)is patient, love is kind, ^(B)is not jealous, does not brag, is not ^(C)puffed up;
