9 A wide door has been opened to me here to preach the Good News. But there are many who work against me.
10 If Timothy comes, receive him and help him so he will not be afraid. He is working for the Lord as I am. 11 Everyone should respect him. Send him on his way to me in peace. I expect to see him and some of the other Christians soon.

9 because a great door for effective work has opened to me,(A) and there are many who oppose me.
10 When Timothy(B) comes, see to it that he has nothing to fear while he is with you, for he is carrying on the work of the Lord,(C) just as I am. 11 No one, then, should treat him with contempt.(D) Send him on his way(E) in peace(F) so that he may return to me. I am expecting him along with the brothers.
