14 And if Christ has not been raised,(A) our preaching is useless and so is your faith. 15 More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead.(B) But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. 17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.(C) 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep(D) in Christ are lost. 19 If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.(E)

20 But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead,(F) the firstfruits(G) of those who have fallen asleep.(H) 21 For since death came through a man,(I) the resurrection of the dead(J) comes also through a man. 22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.(K) 23 But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits;(L) then, when he comes,(M) those who belong to him.(N)

14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:

17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.

19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
