1 Corinthians 14:2-4

2 For he who (A)speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. 3 But he who prophesies speaks (B)edification and (C)exhortation and comfort to men. 4 He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.

2 For anyone who speaks in a tongue[a](A) does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them;(B) they utter mysteries(C) by the Spirit. 3 But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening,(D) encouraging(E) and comfort. 4 Anyone who speaks in a tongue(F) edifies(G) themselves, but the one who prophesies(H) edifies the church.
