1 Corinthians 14:11-13
New King James Version
11 Therefore, if I do not know the meaning of the language, I shall be a [a]foreigner to him who speaks, and he who speaks will be a foreigner to me. 12 Even so you, since you are [b]zealous for spiritual gifts, let it be for the [c]edification of the church that you seek to excel.
13 Therefore let him who speaks in a tongue pray that he may (A)interpret.

11 If then I do not grasp the meaning of what someone is saying, I am a foreigner to the speaker, and the speaker is a foreigner to me.(A) 12 So it is with you. Since you are eager for gifts of the Spirit,(B) try to excel in those that build up(C) the church.
13 For this reason the one who speaks in a tongue should pray that they may interpret what they say.(D)
