Paul Gives Thanks to God
4 I always thank my God for you and for the gracious gifts he has given you, now that you belong to Christ Jesus. 5 Through him, God has enriched your church in every way—with all of your eloquent words and all of your knowledge. 6 This confirms that what I told you about Christ is true. 7 Now you have every spiritual gift you need as you eagerly wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. 8 He will keep you strong to the end so that you will be free from all blame on the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns. 9 God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
Divisions in the Church
10 I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters,[a] by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.

Thanksgiving
4 I always thank my God for you(A) because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. 5 For in him you have been enriched(B) in every way—with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge(C)— 6 God thus confirming our testimony(D) about Christ among you. 7 Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift(E) as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed.(F) 8 He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless(G) on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.(H) 9 God is faithful,(I) who has called you(J) into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.(K)
A Church Divided Over Leaders
10 I appeal to you, brothers and sisters,[a](L) in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you,(M) but that you be perfectly united(N) in mind and thought.
