²¹ For since, in the wisdom of God, ^(A)the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, ^(B)God was well-pleased, through the ^(C)foolishness of the ^[a]message preached, to ^(D)save those who believe.

¹⁶ For how do you know, O wife, whether you will ^(A)save your husband? Or how do you know, O husband, whether you will save your wife?

²² To the ^(A)weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become ^(B)all things to all men, ^(C)so that I may by all means save some.

^15 (A)It is a trustworthy saying and deserving full acceptance: that ^(B)Christ Jesus came into the world to ^(C)save sinners, among whom ^(D)I am foremost.

^5 (A)He saved us, ^(B)not by works which we did in righteousness, but ^(C)according to His mercy, through the ^(D)washing of regeneration and ^(E)renewing by the Holy Spirit,
