³⁹And Ner begot Kish; and Kish begot Saul; and Saul begot Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal.

⁴⁰And the son of Jonathan was Meribbaal; and Meribbaal begot Micah.

⁴¹And the sons of Micah were Pithon, and Melech, and Tahrea, and Ahaz.

³⁹Ner^(A) was the father of Kish,^(B) Kish the father of Saul, and Saul the father of Jonathan,^(C) Malki-Shua, Abinadab and Esh-Baal.^[a]^(D)

Merib-Baal,^[b]^(E) who was the father of Micah.

⁴¹The sons of Micah:
